AGUA

Agua (Water) is the second audiovisual series produced by the United Nations Multi-Partner Trust Fund for Peace, inspired by the memories, challenges and hopes of three territories marked by the conflict, but also by the resistance and resilience of their communities. Through intimate and powerful accounts, this production journeys through Catatumbo, Guaviare and Antioquia, showing how processes of reconciliation, truth and new opportunities flourish amidst adversity.

In Antioquia, we discover the stories of peace signatories who now lead production and ecotourism projects, weaving peace through reintegration. We also accompany the tireless search for persons reported missing, especially LGBTIQ+ victims, whose voices demand justice and remembrance.

Catatumbo, a region of contrasts and resilience, confronts us with the scars of enforced disappearance, but also with the unwavering struggle of families and organisations that refuse to give up in their quest to find their loved ones.

Meanwhile, in Guaviare, water becomes a symbol of rebirth: victims of the conflict now guide visitors through landscapes that were once inaccessible, such as the majestic Laguna de Nare, where the pink river dolphins emerge as witnesses to a territory opening up to the world with hope.

Agua has not only made its way onto national screens, it has also crossed borders, gaining recognition at international festivals. These stories remind us that, just as water always finds its course, Colombian communities continue to open the path towards a future of peace.
